  • 2 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 4 onions
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • refined oil is required
  • 2 cup tomato puree
  • Coriander leaves are required
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoons coriander powder
  • salt as needed
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic

How Do you Create Gatte Ki Curry Recipe:

· Step 1. Knead the dough to make Gatte.

The first step is to prepare the dough to make Gatte. To make the dough, grab in a bowl and mix the grams of flour, 1 diced onion, poppy seeds one green chilli and 2 tablespoons of oil. With a bit of water, mix the dough thoroughly.

· Step 2. Make a large roll from the dough.

Now, put a bit of oil with your fingers and rub it all over your palms. Use a small amount of oil to create a thick roll from it. Repeat until you have made more rolls.

· Step 3. Boil the rolls.

Then, place an oven with a deep bottom on medium heat and bring it to a boil in it. After that, add the thick roll to the boiling water, and let them simmer at least 15 minutes.

· Step 4. Cut the roll in half.

After that, remove the rolls from the water and let them dry. Cut them in half.

· Step 5. Deep fry them.

Then, place the kadhai on medium flame and then heat satisfying oil to allow deep-frying the halved rolls. When the oil is hot enough then fry the rolls until they are golden brown in color.

· Step 6. Saute onions for gravy.

You must now prepare the gravy for the frittered gatte. To make the gravy, use an pressure cooker and pour oil into it. Once the oil is hot enough then add 3 chopped onions finely in it, and cook until the onion is golden brown in color.

· Step 7. Add tomato puree to complete gravy.

Add tomato puree to the cooker, along with minced garlic and ginger and the other green chillies. Cook for about 2 minutes, after that, include turmeric powder, coriander powder red chilli powder, and salt according to your preference. Mix well then cook 2 to 5 mins at a simmer. It is possible to cover the cooker by putting a lid on.

· Step 8. Mix gatte to the curry.

Add the fried gatte to the curry that you have prepared and continue stirring until the oil is gone from its sides. Add water into the cooker to increase the thickness of the gravy. The pressure cooker is closed by putting it on its lid, and wait for the whistle sound. After a whistle, slow down the heat and cook for 5 to 10 minutes.

· Step 9. Garnish the dish with coriander leaves.

After it’s cooked allow the steam to release by itself and then remove the lid from the cooker. Serve the curry with freshly chopped coriander leaves and take it with chapati or rice.
